From Random Chat to Real Friendship: How the Friend Request System Works

Most random chat platforms treat every conversation as disposable — the moment it ends, that person is gone, even if the conversation was genuinely good. MeetInPK's friend request system exists specifically to fix that.

How it works

During or after a chat, either person can send a friend request from the chat header. If the other person accepts, you're both added to each other's Friends list, and the conversation itself becomes persistent — you can keep chatting in the same thread later, instead of starting over.

It requires both people to agree

A friend request only goes through once both sides want it — sending one doesn't add someone as a friend on its own, and the other person can decline without it affecting anything else. If you both happen to send a request to each other, it's accepted automatically, since you clearly already agree.

Finding your friends later

Anyone you've added shows up on the Friends page, with your ongoing conversation right where you left it. It's the one part of MeetInPK that isn't ephemeral by design — everything else about random chat resets with every new match; friendships don't.
